Illegal E-Bike Seized After Masked Riders Spotted in Broughton

Police in Salford have seized an illegal electric bike after officers spotted two masked riders travelling dangerously through Broughton.

Officers from the Salford Neighbourhood North Team 3 were on mobile patrol in the area when they encountered two males wearing balaclavas riding an electric bike in a manner described as unsafe. The bike was stopped and subsequently seized.

Greater Manchester Police say illegal electric bikes pose a significant risk to the public and will not be tolerated on local streets.

Anyone with information about the use or storage of illegal electric bikes in their area is urged to contact police via 101 or through the LiveChat service. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
