TOGETHER FAMILY CENTRE CELEBRATES TEN YEARS

Together Family Centre in Irlam, Salford, celebrated their 10th Anniversary this week, with a lovely evening of memories and cheer amongst good company with great food, speeches, a quiz, dance show, raffle, and of course a party!

The group started just ten years ago as a small social initiative, born from a heartfelt need and a passion for action, that has since developed into an organisation that today creates a broad space for support, integration and development for the Polish Community in Greater Manchester.

The Together Family Centre has for a number of years been based at the former St. Josephs RC Church Presbytery on Cutnook Lane in Irlam, next door to the well-loved church next door. It is not just a place; it is a community of people. It is a space for meetings, inspiration and mutual care.

Director Katarzyna Przybylska said, “When we look at the Together Family Centre today, we see an organization that employs and collaborates with over 30 people, runs dozens of social activities, and brings together hundreds of people each week.

Together Family Centre was never just a project. It was and is a community of people who want to be together. And although today we’re celebrating ten years of operation, we’re already looking a little further. We still have many more plans ahead of us!”

Director Aleksandra Jedrychowska added, “We would like to thank Salford CVS, Jeremy Engineer our mentor and longtime supervisor of the organization, along with CEO Alison Page for their extraordinary support. Their work at Salford CVS makes Salford a better place to live.
