Police have issued an urgent appeal to help trace a missing 69-year-old woman from Swinton who was last seen in Ashton-under-Lyne town centre earlier today.

Maureen was last seen at around 12.30pm on Tuesday 19 May 2026. Officers say they are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare and are asking members of the public to come forward with any information that could help locate her.

She is described as a white woman of medium build, around 5ft 3in tall, with short grey curly hair. Maureen was last seen wearing a pink fluffy top, jogging bottoms and black trainers, and is believed to be wearing glasses.

Greater Manchester Police say extensive enquiries are ongoing to find her and ensure she is safe and well.
