Community groups, charities and organisations across Salford are being encouraged to take part in this year’s Pink Picnic, as the popular Pride event celebrates its 15th anniversary.
Applications are now open for Community Expo stalls at the annual festival, giving local organisations the chance to showcase their work, connect with residents and be part of one of the city’s biggest celebrations.
The Pink Picnic, organised by Salford Pride, will return to Peel Park on Saturday 13 June and is expected to attract thousands of visitors once again.
Now in its 15th year, the event has grown into a major date in the city’s calendar, bringing together communities for a day of live entertainment, food, market stalls and activities for all ages.
Organisers say the Community Expo plays a key role in the event, offering a platform for local groups to raise awareness, share information and engage directly with the public.
