Residents in Little Hulton, Walkden and Worsley have been praised after a series of police operations led to 12 warrants being carried out in just two weeks.
Officers from the Little Hulton neighbourhood policing team confirmed that the activity was driven largely by information provided by members of the public, highlighting the impact of community cooperation in tackling crime.
In one of the latest operations, officers attended a property earlier today (Sunday 22nd March) where they discovered more than 190 plants inside, in what is believed to be a significant find.
The policing team has expressed its thanks to local residents who have come forward with information, describing the results as a clear example of how effective partnership working between the public and police can be. Officers also emphasised that action will continue to be taken on intelligence received.
Residents are being encouraged to keep reporting suspicious or criminal activity in their area. Information can be shared anonymously via Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or through its online reporting service.
