Police Appeal for Witnesses After Serious Rakes Lane Crash Leaves Two Injured

Police have launched an urgent appeal for witnesses following a serious collision involving an off-road bike and a taxi on Rakes Lane in Salford.

Emergency services were called at around 2:40pm on Tuesday (April 14) after reports of a crash in the area.

Two people riding the motorbike suffered multiple injuries and remain in hospital receiving treatment.

The driver of the taxi stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

Now, investigators from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing to the public for help as they work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or may have CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage—especially from the moments leading up to the collision.
