A brand new open-air music festival is heading to Salford this summer, bringing a mix of soul favourites, pop classics and big-name DJs to Monton.

The Monton Soul & Pop Festival will take place on Sunday 30 August 2026 at Monton Cricket Sports Club, with organisers promising a day of live entertainment in a festival-style setting.

Music fans can expect a strong line-up of established names, including Kenny Thomas, Odyssey and Stax of Soul, alongside DJ sets throughout the day.

Well-known local DJs Tony Shawcross and VC are also set to feature, with music aimed at fans of classic soul and feel-good pop.

The event will run from midday into the evening, transforming the cricket club into a large-scale outdoor venue as part of a growing trend of bringing major live events into Salford’s neighbourhoods.
