A woman who was reported missing from Walkden has now been found safe and well, police have confirmed.

Jennifer, 73, had sparked concern after she was last seen in the early hours on Manchester Road West, prompting an urgent appeal to locate her. Officers had warned she may have been disorientated and without access to a phone, leading to a widespread search effort across the local area.

In an update, police confirmed that Jennifer has now been safely located thanks to the help of a member of the public. She was brought to safety and has since been reunited with her family.

Police have expressed their gratitude to everyone who shared the appeal and assisted in the search.

A spokesperson said the response from the community was “incredible,” with many residents taking to the streets to help look for Jennifer.
