Grease was certainly the word as two fun nights based around the cult film Grease featuring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John raised over £350 with everyone attending the night at Cadishead Public Band room in Irlam enjoying, a nostalgic ‘Roaring Fifties of a Night!’

The ‘Pink Ladies’ were out in force, Danny Zucko was there with his ‘T-Birds’ and the real winners were local residential care homes and sheltered housing schemes!

The event organised by the Cadishead Band Film Club was to raise funds to enable the band to play and also support specialist music sessions in residential care homes and sheltered housing schemes around Irlam and Cadishead that have proved tremendously popular with the residents.

Dave Dee from Cadishead Band aka Danny Zucko said, “A great night as always and raising funds for a lovely project that makes a real difference to some of our more senior residents in the district. A big thank you to the team from the Film Club for organizing the evening, Christine, Peter, Janice Angela, Bill and others for their help and support and for everyone that came along had a great time and really entered into the spirit of the themed evening.”

Grease was certainly the word!
