A full line-up has now been confirmed for the upcoming Get In! To Eccles festival, with a wide-ranging programme set to take over the town centre across an entire weekend.
The free event will run on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March 2026, bringing together live music, art installations, workshops, exhibitions and community activities in venues and public spaces throughout Eccles.
Organisers say the festival has been designed to be flexible, giving people the chance to drop in and out or spend the whole weekend exploring what’s on offer. Activity will be centred around key locations including the high street, Eccles Shopping Centre, the Town Hall and surrounding venues.
Throughout the weekend, a number of installations and exhibitions will be staged across the town. At Eccles Train Station, artist Lowri Evans will present an interactive piece inspired by the journeys and stories of passing commuters. Inside Eccles Shopping Centre, Freya Wysocki’s Moss Dreams will transform a vacant unit into an immersive installation combining sculpture, sound and light.
At Eccles Community Art Gallery, visitors can see Our Eccles, a group exhibition showcasing work by local artists reflecting life in the area.
The festival opens on Saturday morning at St Mary’s Parish Church, where organist Lizzie Bell will perform two recitals. The venue will also host a series of drop-in sessions, including badge-making with Salford Badge Club and a family-friendly craft workshop led by Eccles Community Art Gallery. Performances from string trio Amba Strings are also scheduled.

On Saturday evening, Eccles Town Hall Ballroom will stage a headline music event presented by 6 Music Festival and Fat Out. The sold-out show will feature Lauren Auder, Naima Bock and R.AGGS, and will be recorded for broadcast on BBC Radio 6 Music.
Live performances will continue elsewhere across the town, including sets at Illirian Greek and 96 Degrees Eccles, with appearances from The Mollies and local singer Paul Wright.
Sunday’s programme begins at Eccles Town Hall Ballroom with two performances of the BBC Philharmonic’s CBeebies Musical Story of the Gingerbread Man, an interactive production aimed at younger audiences but open to all.
Later in the day, Music Through The Ages will bring together performers from different generations, covering genres including rock, blues and pop. The event will also feature a special segment of music from 1926, marking Salford’s centenary year.
An Independent Street Artisan Market will take place along Church Street on Sunday from 11am to 4pm, offering a range of goods from local makers, producers and independent traders.
Other activities planned across the weekend include a Tandem Chess Simul at Eccles Community Chess Club, where visitors can take on Grandmaster Danny Gormally and Candidate Master Mike Surtees. There will also be Bandeoke at The Lamb Hotel and a closing photowalk led by photographer Simon Buckley.
Most events are free to attend, although some will require advance booking due to limited capacity.
Salford Media will be there with our cameras covering much of the weekend so feel free to pop over and say hello if you spot us.
Get In! To Eccles runs across Eccles town centre on 28-29 March 2026.
