The Fire Fighter Charity were delighted to receive a cheque for over £2,500 after a great night at Niallfest 2026 the annual night of live music to remember Irlam lad and musician Niall Page who sadly passed away all too soon.
Niallfest was started more than 15 years ago to remember Niall with his love of music living on, whilst also raising thousands of pounds in his memory over the years for many good causes.
These have include providing two 24/7 Defibrillators for the community, supporting the Air Ambulance, GM Blood Bikes, the RNLI and others. With this year in 2026 the fund raising being donated to the Fire Fighters Charity with a magnificent £2,577.05 raised.
At a presentation at Irlam Fire Station Dan Hodgson from the Fire Fighters Charity and Irlam Fire Fighter Crew Manager Andy Catterall and fellow Fire Fighters at Fairhills Road Station were delighted to receive the fantastic donation.

Andy said, “We are delighted to receive this fantastic donation and would like to thank Janet and Ian Page and everyone that helped and supported Niallfest 2026 for their hard work and effort. Donations like this make a massive difference to the Fire Fighters Charity, thank you”.
Niall’s parents Janet and Ian added, “We keep on rocking to remember our Niall and long may it continue. But we can’t do it each year without the support of all those that keep getting involved, enjoying live music, remembering Niall, having a good time and supporting the fundraising.
It was a fantastic night yet again. I would like to thank Richard for his total dedication to Niallfest 2026 and remembering his friend. A big thank you to Ben Cullen, Sam Butterworth, and Barry Golden for all their help and support, Angela Pennington and the ladies for their help with running the amazing raffle and especially all the amazing bands for giving their time to come and share our special night, that was packed out once again, thank you all.

We would also like to thank all the people who donated prizes for our raffle, Irlam Catholic Club as always for being a great venue, Kingsland Drinks for their generous donation and Bill McLaughlin for all his help and support as usual, we are just so humble to know how many people come together to make our festival happen.
Niallfest brings everyone together to remember all our fab memories. Let’s Rock On! And make a date in your diaries for February 2027 and let’s make it an even better night!”
