Police have seized four off-road e-bikes and recovered drugs during a crackdown on anti-social behaviour along the Loop Line in Little Hulton and Walkden.
The operation was carried out by officers from the Little Hulton and Walkden Neighbourhood Team following a series of complaints from local residents about dangerous riding and nuisance behaviour on the popular route.
As part of the action, officers confiscated four off-road electric bikes that were being ridden in what police described as an anti-social and dangerous manner. They also recovered a quantity of Class A and Class B drugs from several individuals.
The Loop Line is widely used by walkers, cyclists and families across Little Hulton, Walkden and Worsley, and officers say they are determined to keep it safe for people using it responsibly.
Police have warned that enforcement activity will continue in the area and that riders who fail to stop when instructed could face prosecution.
A spokesperson for the neighbourhood team said they would continue to act on information provided by local people and thanked residents who had reported concerns.
They added that community intelligence plays a vital role in helping officers identify problem areas and tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
Anyone with information about crime or anti-social behaviour in the area is encouraged to contact police on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
