Fans of Keith Brymer Jones are in for a treat as the much-loved The Great Pottery Throw Down judge heads back out on tour with a brand-new live show.
The celebrated ceramicist will be joined by his partner, actor and designer Marj Hogarth, for an evening of storytelling, creativity and live pottery at The Lowry on Thursday 28 May at 7.30pm.
Fresh from filming the third series of Channel 4’s Our Welsh Chapel Dream, the pair will take audiences behind the scenes of their most ambitious project yet — the restoration of Capel Salem, a Grade II-listed 19th-century chapel in North Wales.
The show promises an honest and often humorous look at the realities of breathing new life into a historic building. From wrestling with planning rules to coping with leaking roofs and tight budgets, Keith and Marj share the highs, lows and unexpected moments that come with such a challenge.
But their vision goes far beyond bricks and mortar. The couple are working to transform the chapel into a thriving community hub — a place where local potters can train, creativity can flourish, and the building once again becomes part of village life.
Audiences can also expect live pottery demonstrations from Keith, alongside insights from Marj on sustainable craft and her lifelong passion for making something meaningful from very little.
Blending warmth, humour and hands-on creativity, the show explores not just what we create, but why it matters — and how the act of making can shape our lives.
