TIGER MOTH HOSTS SALFORD REDS SUPPORTERS TRUST FANS FORUM

The Tiger Moth in Irlam hosted a fan-tastic Salford Supporters Trust Forum to talk about all thing’s Salford Rugby League related.

More than a hundred Salford supporters packed into the Tiger for the opportunity to take part in a Questions and Answers session, the chance to renew or sign up for the Salford Supporters Trust, join the club lottery, buy some merchandise or just enjoy a good pint and listen to the guest speakers.

Salford CEO Chris Brierley, first team coach Mike Grady, assistant coach David Hewitt, Club Director Paul Hancock and Paul Trainor from the Foundation.

First team players Joe Hartley, Noah Appleby, Cole Appleby, Sam Hill, Charlie Glover and Jack Gatcliffe.

Foundation Pathway players Aidan Gibbons, Noah Williams and Isaak Duell.

All had the opportunity to speak and answer questions from the floor with MC’s Paul Whiteside and Bill McLaughlin ensuring proceedings went well.With representatives of the Ladies, Wheelchair, Physical Disability and Learning Disability teams all in attendance, proving what a fully inclusive Club Salford Rugby is.Chris was honest and open about where the club was and what the challenges were going forward but was adamant that the support of the Salford fans was paramount to the success of Salford Rugby League Club.

A raffle, name cards and the sale of merchandise raised over £800 for the supporters trust that supports the club and foundation with equipment and expenses their latest purchase of portable floodlights will enable training and coaching to continue in the evening at rugby clubs across Salford.

Salford Supporters Trust chair Shirley Bradshaw said,

“A great Saturday afternoon at the Tiger Moth in Irlam. A massive thank you to Seamus and his staff at the Tiger, he is always a great host and supporter of Salford Rugby Club.

A big thank you to Bill McLaughlin for his help and support as always and to everyone who came along, had a go on the name cards and raffle or signed up for the Supporters Trust.

A special thank you to Chris and all the club officials and players that came along to support the Fans Forum and make it a lovely occasion.

The Club have not had the easiest of times since launching the new set up, but it is early days yet and we are confident with your continued brilliant support things will turn round and Salford Rugby Club will rise again.”
