A brand-new charity festival is coming to Salford this month as SALFEST gets ready to make its debut at AFC Monton.

The event, called SALFEST – Beats For A Cause, will take place on Saturday, 6 June 2026, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support and The Christie Charitable Fund.

Organisers are promising a fun-filled day of music, food, drinks and entertainment, all while bringing the community together to support two important charities.

The festival will run from 11am until 9pm, with families encouraged to bring camping chairs and picnic blankets and make a day of it on the field.

There will be a range of food traders and a fully stocked bar on site, so guests are asked not to bring their own food or drink into the venue. Donation buckets will also be placed around the entrances for anyone wishing to support the fundraising efforts.

Visitors are also being advised that there will be no parking available at the event, and bringing cash is recommended as some traders may experience card machine signal issues during the day.

Under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Organisers say they hope the event will be “a fantastic day out” and are encouraging the community to come together to help raise as much money as possible for both charities.
