Langworthy Cornerstone is recruiting a new Live Well Community Connector to help support older adults and strengthen community wellbeing across Salford.
The full-time fixed-term role, based at Langworthy Cornerstone in Pendleton, offers a salary of £32,154 and will run until March 2027, subject to future funding.
The successful applicant will work as part of the Wellbeing Matters programme, a city-wide social prescribing and community support initiative led by Salford CVS.
The role will focus on helping older adults, carers and families access local services, activities and support groups aimed at improving wellbeing, reducing loneliness and promoting independence. The Community Connector will also work alongside health professionals, adult social care teams and voluntary organisations across the city.
Langworthy Cornerstone described the position as an opportunity to “act as a vital link” between residents and the support available in their communities. Duties include helping people attend groups and activities, providing practical advice, building connections with local organisations and supporting Salford’s age-friendly initiatives.
The charity said experience supporting older adults and an understanding of healthy ageing are essential for the post.
The position includes 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pension contributions, mileage allowance and access to a cycle-to-work scheme. An enhanced DBS check will also be required.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, May 29 at 5pm, with interviews expected to take place during the first two weeks of June.
More information and application details can be found on the charity’s vacancies page.
